Things to do in Paldi

Paldi, at the western end of Sardar Bridge, is the city's modernist corner. Tagore Memorial Hall, B. V. Doshi's folded-concrete auditorium completed in 1971, is the main municipal stage for concerts, plays and comedy tours, and faces Le Corbusier's Sanskar Kendra, the city museum building that also houses the Patang Kite Museum; it has been closed for renovation since 2020, so check before visiting. The National Institute of Design campus is next door. Scrapyard – The Theatre adds an independent stage for experimental plays and open mics, and Kochrab Ashram, Gandhi's first in India, reopened as a museum in 2024. Paldi station is on the Red Line.
