Things to do in Navrangpura

Navrangpura was among the first neighbourhoods built outside the old city and remains the commercial centre of western Ahmedabad. C.G. Road cuts through it, colleges ring it, and its cafés and restaurants draw a steady student crowd. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium, the municipal ground that hosted India's first one-day international on home soil, gives its name to Stadium Circle and the SP Stadium metro station. Hotels and halls around Mithakhali and Swastik Cross Road host exhibitions, jewellery and fashion pop-ups, book launches and workshops. The Blue Line's SP Stadium and Commerce Six Road stations put the area a few minutes from the old city and Thaltej.
