Things to do in Vastrapur

Vastrapur packs a mall, a lake, a craft bazaar and a famous campus into a few blocks. Nexus Ahmedabad One, the mall still widely called Alpha One, faces Vastrapur Lake, whose walkway and open-air amphitheatre host free music evenings and civic events. Ahmedabad Haat next door stages handloom, handicraft and festive exhibitions through the year. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, with its Louis Kahn-designed brick campus, is a short ride away and runs its own student festivals and public talks. ITC Narmada and other hotels nearby take conferences and weddings. The nearest Blue Line stations are Gurukul Road and Doordarshan Kendra, a short auto ride away.
