Things to do in Law Garden & Ellisbridge

Law Garden, officially Sheth Motilal Hirabhai Park, is best known for what happens outside its walls after dark: a street market of mirror-work chaniya cholis, embroidered bags and oxidised jewellery, plus a food street that was redesigned by the municipal corporation in 2020. It is where the city shops for Navratri outfits. Thakorbhai Desai Hall beside the garden is one of Ahmedabad's main stages for Gujarati theatre, music and dance, and the Sheth Mangaldas Girdhardas Town Hall at Ellisbridge is another. The Ravishankar Raval Kala Bhavan gallery shows local artists. Gandhigram on the Red Line is the nearest metro station; buses stop at Town Hall and Law Garden.
