Ahmedabad has the largest cricket ground in the world and is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, with 132,000 seats, is the home of the IPL's Gujarat Titans and is scheduled to host India's third ODI against Sri Lanka on 19 December 2026 and the fifth Test against Australia from 27 February 2027. EKA Arena at Kankaria stages Pro Kabaddi matches of the Gujarat Giants and international football, and the new Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Naranpura has added aquatics and indoor arenas. For participants, the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is on 29 November 2026, and the Sabarmati Riverfront hosts runs and cyclothons through the winter.
