Spiritual Events, Satsangs & Temple Festivals in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad's spiritual calendar is as crowded as its commercial one. The Jagannath Temple in Jamalpur has organised the Rath Yatra since 1878, and the Swaminarayan Temple in Kalupur, the first temple of the Swaminarayan tradition, anchors the old city's religious life. Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with free entry, exhibitions and an evening water show. The city also holds some of India's finest Jain and Islamic monuments, from the Hutheesing Jain Temple to the Jama Masjid, the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque and the Sufi shrine at Sarkhej Roza, and the Trimandir at Adalaj draws visitors of several faiths.
