Things to do in Mahatma Mandir & Sector 17

The Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sector 13 is the state's flagship venue, a 34-acre complex whose main hall seats 6,000 people theatre-style. It has hosted the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit since 2011 and is listed as a venue for the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Dandi Kutir, the museum on Gandhi's life built inside a giant salt-mound structure, shares the campus, and The Leela Gandhinagar hotel rises above the rebuilt Gandhinagar Capital railway station next door. The Helipad Exhibition Centre in Sector 17, a short drive away, takes the large trade shows. The Yellow Line's terminus, opened in January 2026, is named after the centre.
