Things to do in Sabarmati Riverfront

The Sabarmati Riverfront is an 11-kilometre stretch of promenades, parks and event grounds on both banks of the river, opened in stages since 2012 and managed by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation. It is the city's default venue for anything large and public: the International Kite Festival each January, the municipal flower show, marathons and cyclothons, book fairs, food festivals and concerts on an events ground that can hold more than 50,000 people. The kite-inspired Atal Pedestrian Bridge, opened in 2022, links the Flower Park on the west bank with the east bank, where the Ravivari Sunday market sets up. Red Line stations run parallel to the west bank.
