Event ground & exhibition centre · The events ground lawn can host more than 50,000 people

The Sabarmati Riverfront's event spaces sit on the west bank between Ellis Bridge and Sardar Bridge, managed by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation, a company set up by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in 1997. The events ground covers about five hectares, and its lawn can hold more than 50,000 people. This is where the city stages its biggest public gatherings: the municipal flower show each January,

The riverfront is long and has several venues, including the Event Centre, the Flower Park and the stretch near Vallabh Sadan used for the kite festival. Check which one your ticket names. Use the Red Line to Paldi or Gandhigram and walk or take an auto; the riverfront road is often closed or made one-way during large events. There is little shade on the grounds. For daytime events from March to June, carry water and a cap.
