About Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre
The Sabarmati Riverfront's event spaces sit on the west bank between Ellis Bridge and Sardar Bridge, managed by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation, a company set up by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in 1997. The events ground covers about five hectares, and its lawn can hold more than 50,000 people. This is where the city stages its biggest public gatherings: the municipal flower show each January, the Ahmedabad leg of the International Kite Festival, book fairs, trade and consumer exhibitions, food festivals, marathons and ticketed concerts. The lower promenade, the Flower Park and the Atal Pedestrian Bridge are all within walking distance, so an event here combines easily with an evening on the river.
