About Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre
Mahatma Mandir is Gujarat's flagship convention and exhibition centre, developed by the state government on a 34-acre site in Sector 13C of Gandhinagar and themed on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. The first phase was built between May 2010 and January 2011, in time for that year's Vibrant Gujarat summit, and the complex has hosted every edition of the summit since. Its main hall seats 6,000 people in theatre style, with exhibition halls and seminar rooms alongside. Dandi Kutir, a museum on Gandhi housed in a structure shaped like a mound of salt, shares the campus, and The Leela Gandhinagar hotel and Gandhinagar Capital railway station are next door. The venue is also on the list for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
