About Conflictorium
Conflictorium is a participatory museum in Mirzapur, on the edge of the old city, that uses art to open conversations about conflict in society. It opened on 14 April 2013 in Gool Lodge, a two-storey house once owned by Bachuben Nagarwala, a Parsi woman remembered as Ahmedabad's first trained beautician and hairstylist, and was designed by Avni Sethi. The rooms hold installations on Gujarat's history of social and political violence, on caste and on the Constitution, and invite visitors to respond and leave something behind. The museum is also an active venue, with talks, book launches, performances, workshops and a fellowship for young curators on its calendar. It is open from 11 am to 7 pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
