About Auto World Vintage Car Museum
Auto World is the vintage car museum on the Dastan estate at Kathwada, off the Sardar Patel Ring Road on the eastern outskirts of Ahmedabad. It displays the collection assembled by the late Pranlal Bhogilal, described by Gujarat Tourism as one of the largest personal collections of vintage cars, motorcycles, horse-drawn buggies and utility vehicles. More than a hundred cars are on show in open-sided sheds, among them Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Cadillacs, a Maybach and a car used in the film Gandhi, many with custom coachwork built for Indian princely families. For an extra fee visitors can take a short ride in one of the vintage cars on the estate. The museum is a favourite with children and with photographers.
