About Gujarat Science City
Gujarat Science City is the state government's science park on Science City Road, spread over about 107 hectares. It opened in the early 2000s with an IMAX 3D theatre, the Hall of Space, the Hall of Science, an energy park and a life science park, and was greatly expanded on 16 July 2021, when the Aquatic Gallery, the Robotics Gallery and the Nature Park were inaugurated. An astronomy and space science gallery with a planetarium has since been added. The entry ticket of ₹50 covers the Nature Park, the Hall of Science and Space and the outdoor parks; the Aquatic, Robotics and Astronomy galleries cost ₹200 each, with lower rates for school groups. Science City is closed every Monday.
